Christmas Cheer

Hi all,

Just wanted to share with you guys some arrangements we recently did for a holiday party. The theme of the party was "Elfed Up", how funny is that?  I thought it was quite clever.  The client wanted a rich red color with gold accents.  We used red callas, red roses, bi-colored hydrangeas, white alstroemerias, lambs ear and seeded eucalyptus.  We used textured gold vases to bring in the gold she requested.  Take a peek below...

Happy Holidays!

Button Earrings DIY

Hi,

Ever wonder what to do with old buttons that collect dust in the button jar?  Make them into cute earrings!  I made two pairs of earrings that took all of ten minutes and very little money!  The supplies you will need are pliers, earring posts, earring backs, E6000 adhesive and buttons.  All these supplies can be found at your craft store.

E6000, buttons, earring posts and backs.

Step 1:  The buttons I used had hooks in the back that I needed to remove to create a smooth even surface so I could adhere the posts to. I simply used the pliers to grab the hooks and pulled them off.  It took a little effort but the hooks came right out!

Step 2:  Next I applied a drop of the E6000 adhesive to the back of the button and placed the earring post on the adhesive.  The adhesive directions say to let dry 48-72 hours, but they'll be dry before then!

Step 3:  Let dry!

Step 4:  Wear them or give them out as a gift!
